Email & SMS marketing that brings people back
Your past customers already know you, like you and live nearby. Most businesses never contact them again. I set up the automations and send the campaigns that turn one visit into a habit.
The customers you already paid for
Every new customer cost you something to win: an ad, a discount, a referral, your time. Email and text are how you get a second, third and tenth visit without paying for them again.
Repeat visits
A reminder at the right time ("it's been 6 weeks since your last cut") does more than any new ad for a business people return to.
More reviews
A friendly email or text after each visit, with your direct review link, turns happy customers into public proof.
Fuller slow days
A short offer to your list on a quiet Tuesday fills gaps faster than anything that has to reach strangers first.
What you get every month
One fixed monthly price. Setup work happens in the first month, then the automations run on their own while I handle the campaigns.
Included
- Setup on the email or SMS platform you already use, or help choosing one
- Welcome automation for new subscribers
- Review request after each visit or job
- Win-back message for customers who haven't returned in a while
- Booking reminders or post-visit follow-ups where your booking tool allows
- 2 email campaigns per month, written and designed for you
- 1 SMS campaign per month to opted-in contacts
- List clean-up and sign-up forms on your website
- A short monthly report: opens, clicks, replies and bookings where trackable
Platform subscription and per-message SMS fees are paid by you, directly to the platform.
Which channel for which message
| Message | Best channel | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Appointment reminder | SMS | Short, time-sensitive, read quickly |
| Monthly news, new menu, seasonal guide | Room for photos, links and detail | |
| Last-minute opening or same-day deal | SMS | Only useful if seen within hours |
| Review request | Either, ideally SMS right after the visit | Ask while the experience is fresh |
| Welcome for new subscribers | Introduce yourself without feeling pushy | |
| Win-back for lapsed customers | Email first, then one text | Gentle first, direct second |
Texts are more personal, so I keep them rare. Most lists tolerate a few useful texts a month, not a few a week.
Permission and the rules
I'm not a lawyer and this isn't legal advice, but these basics shape how I set up every list.
Email (US: CAN-SPAM)
- Honest "from" name and subject lines
- Your physical business address in every marketing email
- A clear unsubscribe link, honored promptly
See the FTC's CAN-SPAM compliance guide.
SMS (US: TCPA and carrier rules)
- Marketing texts need the person's clear, prior consent, and a pre-checked box doesn't count
- Every message names your business and says how to opt out (reply STOP)
- Business texting in the US generally requires number registration (10DLC) through your SMS platform
See the FCC's guidance on telemarketing and robocalls.
What to expect, honestly
- Month 1 is mostly setupConnecting your platform, cleaning your list, building the automations and adding sign-up forms. Campaigns start once the foundations work.
- Results depend on list sizeWith 50 contacts, a campaign might bring a handful of replies. With 2,000, the same campaign can fill a week. Growing the list is part of the job, through your website, counter and booking flow.
- Automations compoundA welcome or review request written once keeps working every day. Over months they usually matter more than any single campaign.

Where new subscribers come from
Online
- A short sign-up form on your website with a clear reason to join
- An opt-in checkbox (unchecked by default) in your booking or checkout
- A link in your Instagram bio and Google profile
In person
- A QR code at the counter or on the receipt
- A keyword people can text to join, where your platform supports it
- Staff mentioning it at the right moment, not as a script
Email & SMS questions
Which email or SMS platform do you use?
I work with the platform you already have if it does the job. If you don't have one, I'll recommend one that fits your size and budget and set it up in your name, so you own the account and the list.
Can I text customers whose numbers I already have?
Only if they agreed to receive marketing texts from you. A phone number collected for an appointment is not the same as permission to send offers. I'll help you add a clear opt-in to your booking and checkout so the list grows properly.
How many emails will you send?
Two campaigns a month plus the automations, which trigger on their own when someone signs up, visits or hasn't been back in a while. That's enough to stay in touch without wearing your list out.
Who writes the emails?
I do, based on your offers, news and photos. You approve each campaign before it goes out.
Can I just do one text campaign?
Yes. A one-off SMS campaign is $99: I write it, check your list and consent, schedule it and send you the results.
